Shawn Reid and his siblings are blindsided by the bomshell announcement made by their father Jerome Reid the day before he was scheduled to have surgery. Jerome succumbed to his illness before the surgery takes place. Shawn and his siblings are left scrambling for the answers to all their questions.

Chief of Police Randy Johnson is not only Shawn’s best friend, but also his boss. Together the two of them and the Police Department set about resolving the mystery of their own identities and those of many residents of their small town and others in the area.

All too soon a copy cat organization continuing in the footsteps of Shawn’s mother, howevrer for much worse ideas compared to those of Shawn’s mother.
